algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have been trying to solve this problem for days already.I hope i can reel in some suggestions or answers over here, pretty please :D

I am trying to create an alternating triangulated facade.Like this:

The idea:

Panels are dispatched to create an alternating pattern. Then point '1' and point '3' are the points that will move away from the facade, creating the extrusion. It works if the same distance for 'Move' is applied on both points '1' and '3'.

The challenge:

Now i want to put an attractor that would effect the 'Move' distance for each panel. That means,i have to choose distance between the attractor from EITHER point 1 or point 3.And then use that point to connect to the remaining three points of both group of dispatched panels.

The problem:

Say i chose point '1' to be the point measured to the attractor for distance. The panel that was initially connecting to point '3' will have a problem adapting to the distance list(thats measured between point 1 and attractor) due to the panels having alternative pattern,so i had to shift the list it in order to match the point at the right panel.

The frustration:

After long hours of finding a way to do it,i came to an abrupt solution.BUT,now there is a problem with the top strip. As you see here:

I tried culling the last strip, but the data is not in order anymore. If i throw a list item and go through the list, random panels will be picked. So i must have done something wrong in managing the data along the way.

I hope i could pick up something from this forum. Before my head gets bald!

Pretty please :D
