Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I know there must be like a million discussions about generating a 3d voronoi model in grasshopper, and Im sure some of you must have done it like a thousand times,
but I really need your help.

The only  thing I found is Dimitrie's post, which is using the qhull tool.
I couldnt figure it out, for some reason it didnt work on my computer.

I know that the new version on grasshopper contains a 2d Voronoi option, do you have any suggestions on how to create a full 3d Voronoi model?
(And not just to extrude the 2d surface)

I really hope you can help me, its really frustrating...

Andrew- are you using the most recent version of grasshopper to do this? Im assuming yes ...but just want to make sure.
yup - both ways work for me in build .8.0007

When updating the path, do you right click on the component that says d:downloads...et

and then do you go to stream contents or stream destination?

just double click the component and change its contents; no need to either stream contents or destination.
Ha ok..one more...I did that successfully but now qhull is still red?
ok,first, Anyone who tries to use Dimitrie's definition must be carefull about that.Because If you think using that definition in last days of project than you can fall.Because, the main challenge is having some points which are out of user's control on geometry created by Dimitrie's definition.Components of voronoi's can be convex and try to complete itself to another convex hull. The only way to operate this work is baking and connecting the uncontinuous parts manually.
