Trimming curves

I am trying to split a bunch of curves and want to avoid doing it by hand by all means. Basically, I'd like to split up the inside of these curves so that I can eventually have a clean extrusion with no intersections.

Eventually I wan to use this extrusion to split the meshes in the definition - but for now I can't do this cleanly without reworking my definition.

Any ideas?
