FireFly - sensors

Hello, I need help with Grasshopper - Firefly - Arduino project

i am trying to build a surface that is populated by surfaces, each surface is an interdependent unit and the size of the surface is supposed to derive from the light measurement performed by photo sensors - Arduino. The size of the surfaces is defined by the line / distance between the mid point at the base of the triangle and  its vertex.

I have a problem to associate  the number i am getting from the sensor to the line / surface.

i will be grateful if anybody could help me with that
