Kangaroo Equalize force

Hello all,

Does anyone know if or how it would be possible to equalize a mesh using kangaroo, whilst generally maintaining the mesh perimeter.

I can run the equalize simulation on a mesh so that it adopts an equilateral triangle distribution of faces - however the integrity of the original mesh 'naked edge' perimeter is lost. By this I mean the original mesh boundary or outer exposed edges also change shape and as a result the mesh grows in size, which is not the preferred result.

Is there any way to do it whilst maintaining as near as possible the original mesh perimeter?
