algorithmic modeling for Rhino

vb.net components using custom library with long loading time

Hi everybody,

 

I've been working with vb.net components using custom library and the loading time has been increasing to levels like 190 seconds. For now it is not a problem, but I'm afraid it gets worse for more complex programs. So my questions are:

 

1. Has anybody "suffered" the same problem?

2. Are there any basics for it that I'm missing - like using custom components instead of VB component :p?

Hi Eduardo,

 

190 seconds is insane. What's it doing when you load it? Does it connect to a server somewhere to check a license?

 

Even 1 or 2 seconds is a long loading time for a dll. How big is the dll exactly?
