subdividing flat trimmed surface

Hi,

is there a way to subdivide (U/V) a simple flat trimmed surface into many subsurfaces?

right now the subsurface (isotrim) component always considers the untrimmed surface rather than the trimmed one...

rebuilding or shrinking does not help.

any ideas?
