How to generate a predefined pattern in a mesh.

HI everyone, I am working on Python script and grasshoper to generate an agent-based mesh with predefined of pattern. I start with define the geometry what I want and then make it grow by mirror it self.

the next step I likely achieved is making the growing direction along a curve.

Now I have struggle when try to do that with a surface or a mesh.

( My try was to make the line on the surface so that the agent will follow that, but as you noticed that it did not work well)

Any advises or recommendations are really appreciated.
