Remove "Cull Random" Items from Original List?

So I have a list and I am using the cull random component. Now I want to take those random items and remove them from the original list as well.

The picture below shows what I'm trying to do. I have a bunch of hexagons and they are divided into 4 equal parts (100 each). I want to randomly take out a few of them in each section and give them the adjacent color just like what I started to do in the bottom corner.

However, those few medium grey hexagons are overlapping the dark grey hexagons and that I why I'm asking here if there is a way to remove those culled items from the original list.

Any ideas?

Random Dispatch

this works like Random Reduce, so you can control the number of items.

Thank you Eric! This cluster is exactly what I'm looking for.

What plug-ins for Grasshopper did you use to make this?
