algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm struggling to get this basic script to work so that I can understand the basic principles of the hinge force.  The script creates two mesh triangles with the objective to hinge along the adjoining edge.

I can't figure out where the script is incorrect.  The result of the simulation is in correct regardless of changing the strength or rest angle.

Resulting form with rest angle at 0

Resulting form with rest angle at 9

It appears to me that the point at which the mesh hinges is not centered on that of the unfolded form.

Any suggestions?

Hi Charlotte, it seems to work from your printscreen. Can you disable the preview for everything apart from the last mesh (the one generated by Kangaroo) and post the steps again?

Thanks for replying.

I had another look at the definition and reduced the increments on the number slider for the strength and the angle of the bend to allow me to have more control over the hinge force.

Do you still need help?

Possibly...

I did post another question on the forum here http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/kangaroo/forum/topics/paper-fold... as I was unsure of the best way to approach the hinge force when the elements you want to hinge between are not triangles (as in the miura-ori fold).

ok have answered there.
