How to Extrude Using Evaluate Surface

Hi there,

I have got this far and I am able to extrude a surface by a factor of 1, perpendicular to the surface. However, I cannot work out where to connect a number slider, enabling me to increase the extrusion.

I have search all over the discussion forums and cannot translate other feedback to my problem. Hope someone can help.

Does anyone know what I mean? I thought this would be a simple fix!
