algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello world,

"This cluster occurs once in this document".

Well, that's a problem when some of its brothers and sisters are nested inside other clusters which are nested inside other clusters. It seems that they cannot synchronize.

This kind of entanglement looks very flat indeed.

The only way out seems ex-referencing but absolute paths don't help very much.

Any insights?

Hi Giorgios! I just bumped into the same problem.

I'm working with an older version, 0.9.014, do you know it it has been fixed meanwhile?

Thanks in advance,

Eduardo

It hasn't. Clusters by themselves work a lot better in recent versions but the big-picture cluster management is still lacking in functionality. If a cluster is not on the disk then synchronizing it across multiple files (that includes nested files inside clusters) will not be possible, but I need to make it much easier to have clusters be ex-ref'd.

I do not know whether this will make it into GH1, it will probably have to wait until GH2 when the UserObject and UserCluster plumbing can be redesigned without breaking anything important.

Hi David!

Thanks for the prompt reply :)

Anyway, it was already great to get the latest advancements in the clusters.

Best,

Eduardo
