algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys!

I have a dumb issue about an offset surface.

I have several cylindrical surfaces , all oriented in the same direction (first pic) and when i offset it with the same distance... Some must flip and goes to the wrong direction.

Any clues ?

Thanks !

... The surfaces were an extrude between a line and an arc, some line were not in the same direction as the other... Flip these curves works for the offset issue (but flipping the surface should have worked to? all the normals were in the same direction...).

I don't know...

Anyway, Problem solved :)

Flipping Normals does not change the UV orientation which governs the direction of the "Original" Normal. You did the right thing with creating the surfaces in a consistent manner otherwise you would need to use a VB script with Swap() in or LUNCHBOX'S swap component

good to know ! :)
