Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have a Line and I want to change the thickness of that line with Grasshopper. How does this work? ... I want to have a thicker or a thiner line ... Is this possible with Grasshopper? ... If yes, how to do this? ...

But I did that with the [Extend Curve] component. -ve numbers shrink it by the radius

Danny: you are a beautiful human being!

So I don't really need the intersection component to get the job done ...

The [Extend Curve] component on its own is enough to get it done ...

Now what is the best (and easiest?) way to make exact this line thicker?

I building a cylinder easy and does the job?

that is the simplest thing. Otherwise you could look at the rest of the file I uploaded that shows an alternative by "Lofting" two offsetted curves together to make a surface

for a cylinder I need a plane ... This plane should be perpendicular to the line ... right?

the is a [Pipe Component] that will create a cylinder around a supplied curve

man, I really have no idea what you are trying to accomplish.

If you are having THAT much trouble, I´d suggest that you export the lines to an 2Ddrawing based software and do the editing yourself.

(I know most of people here would kill me for not solving everything inside GH, but if it´s for the cause of getting the work done, I think it´s valid.) Since you are not familiar with GH and Rhino, I recommend you to finish the work in a software that you are comfortable with.

but I love rhino and gh?

If it´s for love, TRY HARDER.

ok! don't get nasty man! :)

I will :)
