Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I have a mesh,

I would like to count how many triangles are present within the mesh. I have tried the triangulate command, however, the 'count' of that component seems to only tell me how many triangles were created where previously there were quads. i would like to know the total number of triangles in the whole mesh please.

please see image attached. the meshes shown are baked so that their polygons are visible. the panels show 3 branches of data - please disregard this, in the actual model these objects are part of a wider group which is why there are multiple branches.

is there a plugin or something?

thank you so much!

hi guys i was wondering if i could ask you a question regarding an aspect of grasshopper which isnt actually linked to this feed at all, however, since you both seem to know loads about this field i would appreciate it if you could take a look?. i have to be your friend on here to send you messages so if you are cool with that then can you send me a friend request, if not i will make a general discussion and post a link on here if you decide you would like to take a look. (i dont want to clog up this feed with another question so others can read through it easier)

thanks
