Rotating from image sampler

Hey guys, noob here. I was trying to create a simple defintion rotating hexagons from an image sampler. Wondering if someone can take a look and see where I went wrong.

Also I created a surface of hexagons that want to rotate and its bringing my definition to a crawl. What would be a better way to prevent that?
