algorithmic modeling for Rhino


Normally, If we use the divide surface command, we can evenly get every subdivision's information for further develop.But how to get this kind of subdivision?Each time, I only need the information of the black cell or whitecell.

Its a pretty straight forward process to produce a checkerboard pattern once the surface is subdivided. Check out this definition and let me know if you have any questions.

It gets wonky if your surface is divided into even numbers though...I just wanted to show the process for how you would do it quickly...

Here's a simple solution that works with any combo of even or odd numbers of U/V divisions:
