"Grasshopper breakpoint" error occurs in the grasshopper_wip_20120802

Hello,

Whenever I type command in the grasshopper window, "Grasshopper breakpoint" error occurs. I installed the most recent Rhino 5 beta and Rhino 4 service pack9 with grasshopper_wip_20120802. The "Grasshopper breakpoint" error occurs both rhino5 and rhino4. It would be appreciated if someone could help me!! I attached the printscreen image.

Hi HJY,

the message on the window is exactly what went wrong. It's a bit peculiar that this happens on Grasshopper start, as I didn't think any clipboard interaction was needed during load.

Recently there has been a marked increase in relation to clipboard access bugs. In most cases it has been traced to Google Chrome, FireFox, IE or Skype, i.e. if you shut down one of these applications the clipboard is accessible again.

The message you're seeing is not an actual error, only a statement of fact. You can disable it via the checkbox in the lower left corner of the window.

Do you have any non-standard GHA libraries or User Objects installed? If so, which ones? Perhaps one of them is causing a clipboard access on load.

Hi David,

I appreciate your comments. However, I could not solve it yet.

I tried it after turning off all other software including Google chrome, or skype, but failed.

If I disable the checkbox in the lower left corner of the window, the grasshopper slow down drastically because the computer calculates the message whenever it happens although it does not appear on screen.

I did not install any non-standard GHA libraries or User objects.

The problem only happens in my laptop which has win7 32bit. I have no problem in my desktop which has win7 64bit.

Thank you so much.

I solved the problem after I reinstall my window7. Thanks David.

Wow, hard core. Thanks for letting me know. I'm still puzzled by this error as Grasshopper should not use the clipboard at all unless you press Ctrl+C. I suppose now we'll never know what really went wrong.

Hi, David. I met the same problem, too.  I have karamba, kangaroo, fab tools, mesh edit, lunch box, quelea and rabbit in the libraries. The problem is happening in windows 10, 64 bit. But there is no problem when running in windows 7, 64 bit.
