Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to Grasshopper, and have been trying to do this one task for hours now. I have produced a form that I am looking at wrapping a spiral/vortex around. Problem is I can't manage to do it. I want a rectangular shape to follow and move with the exterior of the organic form, while wrapping in a vortex manner.

I have succeeded in a different design, but it isn't an organic form like this one. I'm going to attach the file, so if anyone can suggest ways to help it would be much appreciated

I hope someone can help, i'm really lost

Not exactly sure what you are shooting for. But here is a starting point. See attached

Thats a lot closer than I was getting.

It is sort of what I am after. My goal is to wrap the loft like a ribbon, with only a little spacing between the twisting ribbon. Sorry, its a little hard to explain. I want to try and leave the loft exactly as it is. Best way would be this - I want to the wrapping 'ribbon' look like this (attched file) with my organic form. Should have showed this first, sorry.

Thanks alot for your imput to, I really do appreciate it

I am not exactly sure what you are describing your goal to be but see if this helps. See attached gh and jpg files.

Adam,

I think I'm pretty close to what you are trying to do. Enjoy

Spot on. Wow, thats awesome. There is no way I would have been able to do that myself. Have never even used half those commands.

Thanks a lot Stan, I really do appreciate it
