Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, I'm new to the grasshopper, and have just started learning with online tutorial.

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/video/intro

I wanted to draw different sizes of circles using gradient of imported image file, but it didn't work. And I noticed there are is an error with Image Sampler, and it said message "warning: floating parameter image failed to collect data". The image I used was png file, 256 x 256 pixels. I'd also tried to used different kind and size of images, but none of them worked.

My version is Grasshopper 1.0 (0.8.0066), and Rhino 4.0 with SR9.

Please help me with this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

You have to supply a set of locations in the image that you want to sample. See here for example http://www.grasshopper3d.com/profiles/blogs/week-8-image-sampler?xg...
Note that because you are using points in 3d space the numbers have to be in the same domain as the image size for it to get the results you want.
Have a look at these tips in this thread for my suggested way to use the image sampler http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/flexible-domain-for-image...

Thank you so much for your help! It worked.
