1. Identify or build a line or curve that represents the path of travel. The best way to do this depends entirely on the data, geometry and situation that you are beginning with. You should upload images, sketches, or screenshots of a model if you want more feedback about how to do this.
2. Measure the length of that geometry, using the curve length component.
