Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

Just starting with GEco so excuse my lack of knowledge.  I managed to get the gemetry exported from GH to Ecotect and get the results back to visualize it. But it seams to be a problem in the resulting values. As you can see in the image, in Ecotect the roof of the box should be 900+ Wh/m² (peak radiation), but the results coming to GH are about 400. Is there somethin not right on the definition.

attached the GH definition latest version (GEco also)

cheers

Hi Claudio,

the problem is that your mesh in Ecotect and Grasshopper is different.

You always need to have the same amount of mesh faces.

So when you change something in Grasshopper you need to do all the stuff in Ecotect again.

Best,

Martin.

Thats is strange martin because the mesh in GH and Ecotect is the same. What you see in the screenshot is the Srf from rhino. I converted the Srf to a mesh with 1 UV segment. I did all the export and calculation again and still getting the same result.

Ok.

Can you maybe also post the Rhino-file so that I can have a look on it?

here it is I  created in Rhino v5, but I saved in V4.0. I've cleaned because its a very large file

thank you for your help

Hi Claudio,

you just created the item indexes wrong.

I've marked the parts I changed.

Now it is working.

Best,

Martin.
