NetworkSrf in grasshopper

Hi Everyone;

Quick question I was hoping you all can help me with.

I have a very specific fabrication project in the works that is pretty heavily reliant on the NetworkSrf command to create a closed nurbs shape. While i found someone who made a rhinoscript command out of networksrf ( http://crtl-i.com/blog/2008/06/poly-network-surface/ ) i haven't seen it knocking around anywhere in grasshopper.

I'm thinking this can be done with a relatively simple VB script object in grasshopper that triggers networksrf in rhinoscript, am I wrong in thinking this?

That said, it's out of my ability to rhinoscript.

Alex,

you'd be wrong about that. NetworkSrf has never made it into the Rhino SDK, thus it is actually impossible to use without calling the command. That involves a lot of command scripting, as selection sets need to be supplied in the right order etc. etc. It's all a bit of a nightmare.

It's unfortunate to hear that its a bit of a mess, if it makes it any easier all my curves autosort just fine so im kind of inputting everything at the same time in rhino.
Everyone else? Any ideas?
Basically im making a lofted tube structure, extracting some isocurves, filleting them together then using networksrf to make a closed single surface. Maybe using point clouds or something? Thoughts?
Basically its a carbon fiber monocoque bike frame. Thoughts?
