Hi everyone! I'm new to grasshopper and really hope someone can help me out there.
Does anyone know of a way that I could take a rhino surface and overlay a grid of points onto the surface and then get a list of all the points with all there (x,y,z) values in grasshopper?
Thanks for the advice. I have had a go with the practice file which is great as it gives me the grid.
The only thing is that it gives me the (x,y,z) values linked to the corners of each surface. Is there a way to take this list and sort it so that it dosen't organise the points into the corners of a surface? In other words, can I just get a list of all the points and there (x,y,z) values?
Is this the sort of thing you mean? It's a basic read-out of the XYZ co-ordinates of each point on the surface, but you could probably add a way of listing all the points so that you could visually see which point's data you were looking at...
Thanks so much for putting that GH file together and sorry for the late reply.
I am having some problems inputting the data into a function F(x) as it keeps going red (is the data not suitable to be used in functions?), but I realize this is maybe for a different discussion.
