Hi to all,
is my first post and my first approach to grasshopper.
I'm sorry if my question will be mybe stupid..
I have some solid and I can't do difference.
I attach the grasshopper file with my problem with note and the rhino file.
Could somebody help me?.
Thanks a lot
the only stupid question is the one you should have asked but didn't.
This is a very legitimate problem and I'm not surprised you're confused. Hell, I wrote the software and I'm confused too. This definitely looks like it should have worked.
I'm talking with the Rhino Boolean programmer now and we're trying to work this out. I'll get back to you when I have an answer.
we found a problem with brep-face normals. When you add an object to Rhino, a number of steps are taken to fix common issues. I don't take these steps and it's causing the normals of the brep that is made by the Extrude component to be all messed up.
I've just fixed this in the internal version, but I'll have to run through all components and make sure I perform these actions now. It will be available in the next build.
In the meantime, since your cutting shapes are all world-aligned boxes, you can feed them through a BoundingBox component and get proper Breps with the same dimensions.
