algorithmic modeling for Rhino

i am trying to get equal divisions on a curve (a set of curves) and its offset (their offsets)
in example 1 this works fine, i use a slider to control the number of divisions.
in example 2 (which is what i am after) i control the number of divisions by a lenght-component and divide its output by a number (5). using this final output-list to divide the original curves works as expected, but if i connect the same output to the N parameter of the offset curves, the division component creates additional divisions to the desired ones.

whats going on here, can someone please help?
thanks in advance roberto

That would be because your original curves are all on one path. But the offset puts the 4 resulting curves on separate paths.
Right-click the C input of the first divide-component and flatten.
thanks a lot!
i´ll try to find what one path and flatten means

cheers roberto
Check the tutorials page and download Andys GH primer.

On page 36 and forward you can read about this (flatten is explained on page 39)
thanks again!
