Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all,

I have a rhino file attached to show what kind of surface I want to make in rhino. I know how to make either the box end or the chute end in grasshopper but how do I make both that are related to each other? What method/technique/tools should I use? The relationship between the two surfaces is that the size of the box on the box side determines how many chutes are made on the chute side.

Also attached is my box end code. I probably did it in an inconvenient way. How should I simplify it so it also works with the chute surface.

Thanks for helping. ^_^

You need to separate your boxes into individual rectangles, then you can join+move+scale+loft

Okay. I get the goal of your suggestion but the boxes need to also be divided. As in the png files I have attached, one box can have multiple chutes. The suggestion you have given me only creates one chute for each box. Do you have any suggestions for that?

I really appreciate your help.

nice link, I can :)

thats good.

i try to fix it,

but with a small bug.

i thinks you can solve it.
