How can i grab a subcurve of specific length?

I found a problem with my solution aside from the fact that you wanted a polyline. The above  'solution' fails when the length parameter is greater than the curve's length so the 'straw' gets cut off as it approaches the curve's end point. Here is a solution which takes care of that and allows the 'straw' to travel completely around the curve by resetting the seam to be the start point.
