Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey,

I need to get a separate dwg file of many different rhino polylignes

I tried orient all of them on XY and to separatethose intersected breps for example of a distance of 100 in Z direction. I don't want to Bake them and move them manualy in Rhino cause I can have hundres of Breps to separate.

The result isn't convinsing...

I then need to export each of them as a separate dwg file...

does anyone knowes if all this is possible to achieve in GH?

Or do I need to take a week of to do it manualy?

thanks for reading

You may want to look at Elefront which has a component that can export directly to DWG files. Here's their description of the component:

"Export objects from Rhino. Each tree branch will be output as one file. Objects have to be in the active Rhino model and can not be from a referenced model"

thanks,

i'll try to get Elefront for mac and try this...

thanks

let me first get Elefront plugin if it exist on mac.

cheers

I think I remember the developer for Elefront specifically mentioning that there were no plans to bring Elefront to the Mac

that's why I couldn't manage to install the plugin...

Do you think there's an other way to achieve this whitout Elefront?

It could surely be done with a custom script, but if you don't have any experience with coding in Rhino, then it's not a feasible option. If you can, try to find a Windows system that you can use. Since Rhino has a 30-day evaluation period, you can just install it on a Windows machine without having to purchase an extra license.

thanks for your advises

cheers
