Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is it possible to change the work flow to a vertical dimension rather than horizontal. It seems there are some advantages to this, namely component titles would be considerably easier to read. The visual relationship between a component and a slider would be better (in my opinion).

Nope. But you can use Bifocals to see the names horizontaly, and combine it with the visualization of icons (Display > Draw icons). Then you have both options at the same time, which is best when you are not familiar with the components.

Thanks. Unfortunately (?) I am Mac OS

Well, quick code to simulate it. You can save it as UserObject if you want.

Thanks. I am not sure what to do with this file

Burn it.
It only puts the name of the components horizontally.
If you want to use it frequently, save it as a userObject from File > Create User Object.

Would Grasshopper be better if the workflow was in the vertical axis as opposed to the horizontal?

By default 'component titles' would be readable.

A Mouse wheel scrolls so one could intuitively navigate the layout.

I sense it would be. Many here might suggest a symbol is a solution but I am not so sure. Why did David Rutten and co. go horizontal I wonder?
