Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody. I'm new in this blog and quite new to Grasshopper.

I'm trying to create a grass definition to create glass facade with glass fins and point fixings.

First of all I created a panelized surface of which i can control dimensions of each panel (height and width) depending on the dimension of the original surface.

The definition works well, but it's a bit complicated.

Maybe is there a simplest way to do it?  Or to create a cluster that do this operation?
Any tips how to get the result in a simple way?

I attach the definition and an image with the structure i want to get.

Thanks!

Hi, I just got a chance to download your script. It looks very good but I was wondering if it could work with irregular oval surfaces. Everything seems to be good with no faults but I do not see the panelized geometry?

Here is the Rhino file with the geometry of the glazing:

Hi Leonardo, i just got some time to answer you.

This script doesn't work with irregular oval surfaces; it creates the surfaces of panels, but then you've to trim them in rhino.

Maybe you couldn't see the geometry because you didn't set correctly the scale factor.

Here is the grass definition with the correction for your rhino file. I hope it works. Let me know!
Bye!
