Problem with defining a surface converted from T Spline in GH

Dear All

I have converted a TSpline surface into NURBS and tried to define it (set Surface) in Grasshhopper. However its giving me this error message:

" Surface with ID {194f0a43-09ee-4400-93d0-ab941876c1da} failed to load"

Could anyone kindly point out what is the problem?

Many thanks!

kind regards

Hi Tom

Thanks for your reply. Actually it worked again, however, I have another setting surface problem in that Grasshopper does not seem to recognize an extruded surface. If I take the base curves loft them into the same shape as the extrude surface, GH will recognize it.

I have attached the file with the extrusion and the Loft as labeled for your reference.

Many thanks for your advise!

Just a note: ConvertExtrusion Command in Rhino is better than Explode Command as this returns Polysurfaces (Breps) if the extrusion is a box etc.

hi Matt,

Thanks, it works well indeed.

Actually, as I said to Tom, these clever commands are not listed in Levs 1 or 2 of the manual, how did you came across it as there are no instructions to this level in the manual.

Cheers!

Hi Tom

O yes I recall the trainer telling me about extruded surfaces but not anything about GH's recognition, maybe he wasn't using GH. That's great, misery cleared, truly great help, thanks a lot! How long have you been using Rhino/GH, it seems I see new things eveyday (5 years for me and trained in Lev1&2).
