If I got it correctly(?) this is a classic recursive task (NOT possible with GH unless you do some sort of loop via Anemone). In this case if we have a "donor" box that gives us 2 boxes and then each gives us 2 more and ... repeat (until a stop condition occurs) ... this is what we call recursion.
See attached that unfortunately does what it does via code. Note: works with boxes not cubes that are recursively and randomly (in x/y/z and according the min/max "division" limits) "splitted" in 2.
