Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there,

Is there an easy way We can let different Grasshopper definitions to share same set of  data? When one of the definitions changes the data the other definitions would automatically update its sharing data? Now what I can do is to internalise nodes and then copy and paste and re-connect... which is not so smart...

Thanks for any suggestions,

Jack

Hello Jack,

you can try pack unpack data components from treesloth plugin. I think they might be useful in your case.

Cool, I will give it a shot~

There's no such feature in standard GH at the moment. If your data is geometric, you can use the GeometryCache objects to 'bake' your shapes to the Rhino document and harvest them again later.

I'm planning to make this a lot easier and more reliable in GH2.

great, looking forward to GH2~ Thanks~
