Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody!!

It's time for my weekly question.;)

this time I am trying to combine data after using the sift pattern or the cull pattern.

I am aiming to split the data into groups of three with an individual path as shown in the attached file.

Would be great if someone could explain me which component I would need to use to achieve the desired result.

Thank you so much !!!!!

hey,

not sure if you trying to do this?

its the partition list component.

regards

You can just use the cull pattern component (your option 2) (Instead of sift then clean tree) then partition component as suggested by Chapulin above.

You could also create the outcome you want if you connect 2 Series components together,

I am not on a machine with GH at the moment so can't post an example. The first one needs the step size set at 6 and then this plugged into the start input of the second and the second one just needs the count set at 3.

I think that's it

yep, your right matt, nicer this way

thank you so much for your help and solutions.

both work just fine.

eventually i used the pathmapper  {a;b}[i]    to    {a;i/3}

which worked as well!!!!
