Building components library vs Honeybee construction library

Hi all,

Maybe I am missing something but following on from the discussion here:

It appears to me that the only a fraction of the constructions available in the OpenStudio components library are available in the current Honeybee Hive is this correct?

If a construction is not available from the Honeybee hive what is the best way of applying a component from the building component library? I'd like to apply a construction like so as using the apply open studio measure seems a bit clunky in this case.

Your thoughts and comments are most appreciated!

Also is anyone able to explain the difference between a mass extwall and a metal extwall? What exactly is a mass wall?

You can use deconstructConstruction and deconstructMaterial components to get the details for each of them.

Back to the initial question we need to update the current honeybee library at some point. I don't think we are missing so many of them but there has been updates to the library.
