Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

So as part my graduation project i'm designing a kinetic structure with lights embeded. These lights need to change in intensity based on data from a panel.

Could somebody point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

yes, the arduino uno

Oke, I have the arduino Mega on order now. I guess the arduno mega is also necessary for the amount of PWM ports. I need around 12 ports yes and it has 14.

And can you explain the C++ libary (chipset) a bit more. Why and where do I install it?

Are you refering to this library pack: https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_LIS3DH

Thank you.

Oke and can I do this with certain components within grasshopper? i'm not formiliar with this yet.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for replying to all of my questions before. Because of recent changes during graduation-project, the design has changed a bit too.

I'm still very much interested in using the LED-strips you suggested. But now I don't plan on working with light intenstity anymore. The idea now is to be able to used the panel again in combination with the LED-strips to light them up each.

So let's say that I have 6 different strips and a part of them need to light up based on the number in the panel. Is this something you have experience with? The higher the number in the panel, the more lights on the LED-strip should light up.

I hope to hear from you again.

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Remy
