Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I am having a bit of trouble with the Visibility analysis component in Ladybug. I am trying to show the visibility of the overall facade of a building from one given point.

The component seems to be working for me according to the colour legend, but the building facade only shows 100% visibility (Red) and 0% visibility (Blue). The percentages of visibility in the middle from 10-90% are not visible on the building facade.

Is it possible to achieve a more gradual gradient, representing overall facade visibility from one point? Also is it possible to factor in the distance from the point to the overall facade of the building to determine the facade visibility to achieve a more accurate representation? Would the direction of view from the point be a factor?

Please see the reference files attached.

Thanks in advance :)

Or maybe there is an easier way to achieve this using a different component?

Hi,

I just looked at your files:

As you have only one point specified, it is only possible to either see the point fully (=100%) or not to see the point (=0%). If you apply a number of points or a surface you should also get a more gradual mesh result on your analysis geometry.

I hope this helped.
