Run time estimation

Hi all;

Some of the mass calculations in grasshopper may take long time to execute. Is there any way to predict or estimate how much time dose it take before unlocking solver or enabling component(s) or what percentage of process passed during process considering physical resources?

It is near impossible to predict the runtime of a certain solution, as individual iterations of components may be wildly different. Percentage of components completed would be easy to measure, but it would also be a nearly useless metric, as the bulk of the runtime is typically due to only one or two components.

I think within the confines of Grasshopper 1.0 there will be no good solution for this. Hopefully it will no longer matter with Grasshopper 2.0, as solutions will not block the UI.
