'CullN (Cull Nth)' under 'Set | Sequence'

Oops, sorry, wasn't awake yet.  When I saw "get every fifth line of text out of a list" I thought you meant remove every 5th line.  Didn't read your second sentence (which really should be 0, 5, 10, 15, etc.).

Try 'Cull Pattern' instead?

still doesn't work :(

Here is my file if you want to try it

Hi.

You should uncheck "Multiline Data" option on your data panel and try to use "Split Tree".

Thanks alot!

Your 'Cull Pattern (P)' is wrong.  "5" is not what it wants.  Look at my screen shot again; see the pattern of True/False I used?

True
False
False
False
False

To do that, disconnect the "5" panel, right click on the 'P' input and select "Set Multiple Booleans":
