Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all! Is any way to make a slider with multiple domains??? Lets say for example from 1-5 and 7-10, but in the same slider. The idea is to have a jump in the slider from 5 to 7 so you can´t choose this values.

I´m not looking for dispatch or conditional statement after the slider selection number, but something that applies in the slider.

Tks!

Ugh.  It's interesting to see the expression value reflected directly in the slider (news to me) but hardly what I would call "user friendly" given the gap between the "domains".

I think the multi-domain approach I posted (2domains_2015Dec11b.gh) has several advantages.

Actually I was looking for something that reflect that statement: "you are not allowed to pick this number". You can also split the gap to take the number before and after the gap:

If (x<5,x,If (x<6,5, If (x<7, 7,x)))

Hi Daniel, I already find the solution I was looking for, posted in the preview reply.

I can´t move the slider in your solution... something doesn´t work...

Ups, sorry, here is fixed.

Thats great!!! Tks daniel, a real multi domain slider!!! Is a component made with programmation? Sorry, new in this GH world...

You are welcome :)

VB Script and C# script (and Python script) components allow us to create custom components from code without compiling, ie, writing tools without make a gha. You can do double click over icon to see the code. This script what it does is a hack, "enters" in the plugged slider and change its value when it is within the not allowed intervals.
