Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I've been working on this GH script for a week searching other discussions for insight with no luck.  I wanted a random rotational pattern on a hexagonal grid that is affected by an attractor curve.  I got the geometry to rotate but not 2D as expected, its rotating in Z-axis as well.  An unexpected error on the the outcome is being generated as the move vector cell is moving my centroids off my original grid.  I simply need this pattern to rotate randomly on the xy axis after the attractor has affected the geometry.

Im sure this is an easy fix for those that use GH on a daily basis.  Thanks for your help!!!

cheers,

Alejandro

Hi Alejandro,

I used PanelingTools random attractor component. Please see attached. I hope it helps.

Here is another version of the solution that uses another PanelingTools attractor for the curve. Make the solution a bit more compact.

Thank you Rajaa, I didn't have the PanelingTools installed.   I will keep you posted with the results.

Many thanks!
