Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I try to orient a special object along a curve or a grid. It is important that the 4 box corner points (ground points) are corresponding to the first two points of each line. So that each box is in between two lines.

I tried this but I don't get it anyway. (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/orient-geometry-along-a-c...)

I hope you understand what I mean and can help me.

Greetings.

Phil

Hi Philip
Do you want to have result  such like on the picture.

Yes. This is nearly the geometry, I would like to achieve.

But the next step is that it also should work with a grid like this.

But I neither can connect the points nor put the geometry in between it... :(

Look to your grid and how are you will imagine this. Your  grid not have rectangular cells. Your cells must be rectangle or triangle.

Isn't it possible to assign 4 points from the box to 2 points from two lines.

From scratch it should look like this in the end.

If you find a new method how generate the normal grid. Your example
