Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone!

I have a set of curves, and I want to split them in two, 10cm before the end. How would you do it?

Thanks a lot!

Obtain the parameter t where you want to split them using Evaluate Length and then Shatter

Thanks Danny!
I'm a real beginner with grasshopper, so I'm sure there's some obvious thing I'm doing wrong, but I can't get it to work.

Here's what I did:

I selected 9 curves. I flipped them (so it would count from the end) and evaluated them with a slider set to .1 and N set to false. This gave me the point I wanted. Then I used shatter, but the output is the 9 original curves, instead of the 18 I was expecting.

Where did I go wrong?

Thank you very much.

This flow will help

You should plug evalute length component's "t" output to shatter's "t" input.

perfect, thank you!

I also had to add a Graft to the curves.
