algorithmic modeling for Rhino
So I worked up a definition on my PC at work and everything was going well and I baked the final version to do a diagram.
Saved both my Rhino file and GH files before coming home and I was just wanting to check something on my Macbook Pro at home and I noticed that the results of the GH def were different to what I had baked back at work.
I'm using a Hoopsnake component that also drives a Jitter component, is there something here that would be causing the slight variation PC to PC? It only appears to change items that pass through Hoopsnake.
You can see what I am talking about below in the screenshot. Yellow is the baked item in Rhino from my work PC and you can see the results from my MBP in red. The last forks are what is varying which is the last item to come out of the Hoopsnake and Jitter component.

I designed native components that rely on randomized behaviour in a way that keeps them consistent across different solutions. That is why components that use random numbers internally always have a SEED input. If the seed is the same, the random behaviour is the same.
If this somehow got broken you can test it by pressing F5 on a single computer. If each successive solution results in different outcomes then clearly something is not using the same seed.
If on the other hand the solutions are totally consistent, but they differ from machine to machine then something else is going on.
Do both machines have the same Grasshopper version? The same Hoopsnake version? The same Rhino version?
