Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi. I just learned Grasshopper with a few tutorial videos. And I was about to make some patterns by myself but it is still very hard for the beginners like me. Could anyone help me with making patterns look like the picture below? I appreciate your time.

I can see the logic behind some of these, but others appear very random. Are all of these patterns manifestations of the same algorithm, or does each have a different 'rulebook'? In either case, what are these rules you're looking to encode?

Thank you for the reply. I found this image in random article and in the explanation it said it has only few simple inputs. So I was thinking maybe I can practice making patterns by finding algorithm out of this results. However it appears that I am having trouble with applying what I learned. I guess this is not for my level.

However It seems each row has same algorithm, thus could you give me a tip or help me find 'rules' of bottom row? If I get the idea for the middle one of bottom row, I think I can apply different numbers or change little bit and make the ones next to it.

Thank you very much for your time and effort.

You should probably try to write down what sort of logic is behind these patterns you want to achieve. I made a quick example using a grid and a random+symmetry approach:

Hi David,

I will try writing down logics. Thank you for the example. It helps me a lot.
