Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm fresh new to grasshopper and doing a tutorial on youtube to try and get a feel for it.

The tutorial creates a point, arrays it on a XZ plane using a 60 degree move (hexagon is created) and then creates 6 lines to connect the hexagon between the points.

so far so good.

then, he creates a polyline node and connects all of the Geom. from the "move" nodes into the "vertices" of the polyline node.

He gets all 6 lines into the vertices.

For some strange reason, when I drag one into the vertices its okay but the next one makes the first connecting line disappear, meaning I cannot join all 6 into the polyline node.

Any ideas why this is?

Thanks.

Hi Yafim,

if you want to keep existing wires then hold down SHIFT while you make a new one.

Also, if you press CONTROL you can trace over a wire and make it disappear.

Finally, press both SHIFT and CONTROL before you click and you can move all the wires from one parameter to another.

There are different cursors for each operation.
