Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I have this set of level curves and want to make the terrain from them. Could you tell me which is the easiest way to do it? ( I am pretty new at GH and have no idea about programming)

Thanks in advance!!

UPDATE.. I have used the plugin "pint set reconstruction tools" and works pretty good, but when i want to soften it with "drape" it comes up very rough. how can do all this in GH?

and thanks Mario!!

great video, thanks!

I typically subdivide the curve into points and use a delaunay mesh. This is the same way tools like Revit typically construct 3d terrain from contours. You can smooth afterwards using weaverbird, or if you prefer, reproducing a "drape"-like operation by projecting the control points of a surface down to the delaunay mesh using Mesh/Ray intersections and reconstructing the surface from those.

awesome! many thanks!!
