die cutting for testing before cnc router

Hello everyone!can anyone recommend a (not so expensive) die cutter capable of handling thick paper and other soft materials?I need something that allows me to test iterations of my designs before outsourcing to the cnc router service for final production...Thanks!DiegoSee More

"Thanks Andrew! disappointing indeed... will continue exploring the voronoi 3d component since this really was my first time using it. cheers!"

"Just to add to that: there's a really useful component called ShiftPath, that basically does flattent the last branching level while keeping the rest of the tree intact. You could do the same with a PathMapper. So mostly if you feel you need to…"

"I don't have time to look at the file directly, but I can give you a general, and probably disappointing, answer. Basically, don't flatten your branches that contain the cells if, later on, you want to use the data structure. You…"

list into tree

Hello everyone!I have a 3d voronoi geometry with perforated surfaces that I created by exploding and manipulating the voronoi cells. All cells are different, consequently the lists for each component are different, i.e., the face count for all the cells all vary. since I had to manipulate the geometry a couple of times after exploding the cells in order to have usable data to produce the perforated surfaces (same as faces), at the end I've got a single list of items as opposed to a tree. This…See More

length value out of attractor points

hello everyone!I'm having problems with a deffinition where I use 3 different attractor points to stract values for scaling curves and asign length to a SDL line in order to form pyramides...The distance method (between attractor points and centrids) is working fine when it comes to stablishing the scale factor or the curves, but I'm running into problems when it comes to getting the lengths for the lines. I get a warning message saying that the SDL "L" input was unable to collect data... when…See More

Coffee + Grasshopper

A daily geometric problem is presented to the grasshopper 3d community. Degrees of difficulty vary by day.The idea is to sharpen skills, challenge, or a fun exercise: Useful for beginners wanting to learn, or as an alternative to your morning coffee + cross-word puzzle. Rules:Contributions can be posted by anyone. Either selected from a previously posted problem from the general discussion (please acknowledge original poster), a selection from one of the many grasshopper+ primers (please…See More

lists within lists

hello everyone!sorry if i refer to things using the wrong terms...if I have a list that  is subdivided in groups with equal number of items (group "0", group "1", group "2", etc...), how can I relate items in "0" to items in "0", items in "1" to items in "1", and so on?to be more graphic, all the items in the list are points and I wanna run a Pline through items "0", another one through items "1", and so on...I can use the list item component, but that will only allow me to isolate one item…See More
