"Yep, you can disconnect all wires coming to a specific input, but (from what I know), you cannot disconnect all wires from all inputs in a single clic. This could be useful with big components taking a lot of inputs."

"+1 with this wish :-)  A "disconnect all inputs" native component function would be highly appreciated as well. It would be useful after copy pasting snippets f.ex. Cheers!"

VS 2015 crashes due to Intellisense issue on GH_Structure/Datatree class

Dear GH users, I am facing a weird but really annoying issue : whenever I am coding a GH component in Visual Studio Community 2015, Intellisense crashes the software when it attempts to suggest parameters/methods from very specific GH classes like GH_Structure and Datatree. For example, when I type :Dim dataTree as new GH_Structure(of GH_GUID) dataTree. [it stops working here] Intellisense tries to suggest a method and leads VS to shut down.So far i found a workaround by coding my components in…See More

Xavier AM replied to jessica low's discussion Surface in brep
"Hey Jessica, what you can do is : explode the brep, evaluate each surface at its middle after reparametrization, sort surfaces with point coordinates as a key and get the first and last item of the surface list. Hope this helps!"

Connecting GH to the outside world using WCF

Dear GH Users,I am setting up a Grasshopper component which will be able to communicate with external programs using WCF, as per David's suggestion in a previous post. The ultimate outcome will be to process a batch of files in a row : automatically setting inputs, recomputing the definition, generate outputs and go to the next file.Has anyone ever tried this approach? What are the potential problems we may face remotely operating GH (with GUI loaded) ?Thanks for your hints,XavierSee More

Batch Variable Use

Hello Andrew,I am trying to figure out how to use the Batch Driver / Batch Variable Tool to run an analysis across a definition : changing an input sequentially and recording a specific output. Is that the right tool to do that? I do have the feeling it is but I cannot make it to work so far. Would you have an example or a video explaining how to set it up?It's not in your 14 amazing things you can do with MH video, despite it sounds it is.Thanks for your help,Cheers!See More
